Types of Marine Switches

Toggle Switches – Compact, tactile, and ultra-reliable. Available in SPST, SPDT, and DPDT formats to suit basic and advanced installations. Toggle switches are ideal for bilge pumps, nav lights, auxiliary devices, and more. Baywatt also offers bi-color LED toggle switches (green/red) for immediate visual feedback on switch status.

Rocker Switches – Clean, modern appearance with intuitive control. Rockers are excellent for grouped switch panels, often used for cabin lighting, pumps, and electronics. Available in standard Contura size with laser-etched or sticker-ready faces, backlit LED options, and waterproof gaskets.

Push-Button Switches – Sleek and compact, perfect for controls that require rapid or momentary actuation. Choose from push button ON/OFF latching or push button momentary on/off, in sizes like 19mm or 22mm. Push-buttons are well-suited for horns, ignition, or inverter activation.

• IP65–IP67 waterproofing
• LED ring or center-lit indicators
• Available in metal or plastic housing 

Buzzer Alarms – Audible alerts for critical systems. Useful for bilge level alarms, engine overheating, security alerts, or any condition requiring attention. We offer panel-mount buzzers with or without built-in LEDs.

Features:

• Sound levels up to 110 dB
• LED flash options
• Easy wiring (typically 2 terminals)

Indicator Lights – Visual system status at a glance. LED indicators are offered in various colors (red, green, blue, white, amber) with 12V or 24V compatibility. Designed to match switch sizes and used to signal active systems like nav lights, pumps, or charging circuits.

Switch Functionality & Wiring

• ON/OFF: Basic maintained control
• ON/ON: Dual circuit selection
• ON/OFF/ON: Three-position switch, useful for modes or dual systems
• (ON)/OFF: Momentary activation, spring return
• (ON)/OFF/(ON): Dual-direction momentary, great for trim tabs, wipers, or thrusters

Switch types include SPST, SPDT, and DPDT, allowing simple control, A/B selections, or advanced use cases like motor reversal, dual source switching, or full circuit isolation. For metal hull boats, DPDT can help isolate both poles when needed.
