The Baywatt OBE7300 Series brings 10 HP of equivalent propulsion power in an efficient and reliable 72 V configuration. Designed for demanding boaters and professionals, it offers the strength of a small combustion engine with less noise, vibration, or emissions. This model combines proven mechanical architecture with modern electric propulsion technology for intuitive operation and low maintenance.
With a 72 V nominal voltage, the OBE7300 ensures high torque, smooth acceleration, and optimal energy efficiency. It can deliver continuous propulsion at cruising speed while maintaining cool operating temperatures thanks to its integrated water cooling system. The electrical design is compatible with most 72 V lithium battery banks (LiFePO₄ or ternary lithium), providing long-range endurance with minimal voltage drop.
The OBE7300 is equipped with a 3-blade aluminum propeller offering superior thrust and impact resistance. This ensures consistent performance even in shallow or debris-filled waters. The balanced design delivers smooth hydrodynamics and efficient load transfer to the prop shaft.
The OBE7300 Series is available in two configurations : OBE7300T with tiller handle for direct and intuitive steering, and OBE7300R with remote control for console-based operation. Both include Forward – Neutral – Reverse shifting with smooth mechanical engagement.
A high-efficiency water-cooling circuit maintains the motor and controller at a constant temperature, ensuring consistent output even during long runs or high loads. This protects internal electronics and extends service life in both fresh and salt water environments.
The integrated digital display provides real-time battery voltage and remaining capacity, helping the operator to plan trips safely and maximize battery performance. This is essential for both professional and recreational use.
Baywatt integrates multiple safety mechanisms to protect both user and equipment. A magnetic kill switch allows instant power cutoff in case of emergency. All structural parts are marine-grade with a sacrificial anode for corrosion prevention, making the OBE7300 suitable for both freshwater and coastal environments.
Thanks to a simplified bracket and lightweight aluminum frame, installation can be performed by one person. The outboard weighs approximately 38 kg (short shaft) or 39.5 kg (long shaft), maintaining excellent power-to-weight ratio. Routine maintenance is limited to periodic cleaning and visual checks of key components.
